Responsibilities
- Design and develop comprehensive test plans and strategies to ensure software quality. - Execute functional, regression, and performance testing to identify software defects. - Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and provide feedback. - Document and report testing results, providing clear insights on software performance. - Participate in agile ceremonies, contributing to continuous improvement of processes. - Automate testing processes using industry-standard tools to enhance efficiency. - Conduct exploratory testing to uncover hidden issues and enhance user experience. - Maintain test environments and ensure they reflect production conditions. - Identify, track, and manage defects using established bug tracking systems. - Provide support in user acceptance testing, ensuring software meets client expectations. - Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, advocating for innovative testing methodologies. - Mentor junior testers, fostering a culture of quality and knowledge sharing. - Assist in the development of training materials for end-users to ensure smooth software adoption.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in software testing, including functional, regression, and performance testing. - Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and testing methodologies. - Proficiency in automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit) and scripting languages. - Familiarity with Agile methodologies and participation in Scrum teams. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. - Effective communication skills to collaborate with developers and stakeholders. - Relevant qualifications in IT, Computer Science, or related fields. - Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) is highly desirable. - Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced startup environment.
