Responsibilities

**Key Responsibilities:** - Design and develop civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, and drainage systems, ensuring compliance with Australian standards. - Conduct site investigations and assessments to evaluate project feasibility and prepare detailed reports. - Collaborate with architects, planners, and other engineers to create innovative and sustainable solutions for community infrastructure. - Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical specifications, and project documentation. - Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and adherence to deadlines. - Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to ensure project alignment with local and state regulations. - Oversee construction activities, providing guidance and support to site teams to ensure quality and safety standards are met. - Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimise project impacts. - Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance project outcomes. - Mentor junior engineers and support their professional development within the team.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification accredited by Engineers Australia. - Proven experience in civil engineering projects, with a focus on infrastructure development and management. - Strong knowledge of Australian building codes, regulations, and safety standards. - Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and relevant project management tools. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong attention to detail. - Current driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required. - Eligibility to work in Australia, with a valid visa if applicable.
