The ICT Customer Support Officer at Inner City Metals is responsible for providing day-to-day technical support across the company’s office and operational environment. The role involves assisting staff with hardware, software, system access, network and general ICT issues, responding to technical enquiries, troubleshooting problems and maintaining accurate support records. The position also helps ensure that the company’s technology systems remain reliable and accessible, supporting smooth communication, customer service and daily business operations across the scrap metal recycling business.

• Provide day-to-day technical support to staff across office and operational areas.
• Respond to ICT enquiries and troubleshoot hardware, software, system access and connectivity issues.
• Install, configure and maintain computers, printers, software and other ICT equipment.
• Assist users with passwords, accounts, email access and general system-related problems.
• Monitor and maintain reliable network and system connectivity across business operations.
• Record technical issues, actions taken and resolutions in support logs or internal records.
• Escalate complex technical problems to external providers or senior ICT support when required.
• Support the use of business systems used for customer records, administration and operational activities.
• Perform routine system checks, updates and basic maintenance to reduce service interruptions.
• Help protect company systems and information by following ICT security and access procedures.
• Provide clear guidance to staff on the correct use of company systems and technology.
• Coordinate with management and external service providers to resolve ICT issues promptly.

• Diploma or Certificate IV in Information Technology, ICT Support, Computer Systems, Networking, or a related field.
• Around 1–2 years of relevant experience in ICT support, help desk, technical support, or a similar role.
• Sound knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems, printers, user accounts and basic network troubleshooting.
• Ability to diagnose technical issues and provide practical, timely support to users.
• Good communication and customer service skills when assisting staff with ICT-related problems.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain support records and follow ICT security and access procedures.
