Responsibilities

- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Australian accounting standards.
- Prepare, analyse, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to support business growth and project delivery.
- Lead cash flow management and monitor working capital to ensure the financial health of the company.
- Ensure all taxation and regulatory obligations are met, including BAS, GST, PAYG, and superannuation.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
- Liaise with external auditors, banks, and financial institutions to maintain strong professional relationships.
- Provide strategic financial advice to senior management to support decision-making and business planning.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Review and approve project budgets and monitor variances throughout the construction lifecycle.
- Support tender submissions and contract negotiations with financial insights and risk assessments.
- Stay updated on industry trends, legislation, and best practices to keep Singh Homes ahead in compliance and efficiency.
- Drive improvements in financial systems, processes, and reporting tools.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure financial objectives are aligned with operational goals.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CA qualification highly regarded
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a finance management role, preferably within the construction or property industry
- Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of Australian financial regulations, taxation, and compliance requirements
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero) and MS Excel
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Experience leading and mentoring finance teams
- Full Australian working rights or eligibility for employer-sponsored visa (subclass 482)
