• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Python code for a range of software applications
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative solutions
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through to deployment
• Integrate Python applications with RESTful APIs, databases, and third-party services
• Debug, test, and resolve software defects to maintain high-quality deliverables
• Optimise code for performance, scalability, and reliability
• Develop automated test scripts and contribute to continuous integration practices
• Review code written by peers and provide constructive feedback
• Stay up to date with emerging Python frameworks and industry best practices
• Prepare technical documentation and user guides as required
• Liaise with stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs
• Support existing applications, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements
• Maintain compliance with company coding standards and security protocols
• Contribute ideas to team discussions and support a culture of learning
• Assist with mentoring junior developers and sharing knowledge within the team

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Solid commercial experience developing with Python (3+ years preferred).
• Proven expertise with frameworks such as Django or Flask.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and modern software development practices.
• Strong understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, agile team environment.
• Full working rights in Australia (citizenship, PR, or relevant visa).
• Experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) highly regarded.
